Sildenafil Citrate is usually taken three times a day, 30 minutes to 1 hour before sexual activity. It can be taken up to 4 hours before intercourse. Do not take Viagra more than once per day.
If you experience dizziness or nausea during sexual activity, or pain, numbness, or tingling in your chest, arms, neck, or jaw, stop and seek medical help immediately.
If you miss a dose of Sildenafil Citrate, take the missed dose as soon as you remember. However, if this is close to your normal scheduled dose, skip the missed dose. Do not take extra medicine to make up the missed dose.
Should you experience any symptoms that include chest pain, nausea, irregular heartbeat, and feeling light-headed or fainting, seek emergency medical attention or call the Poison Help line at 1-800-222-1222.
If you drink alcohol whilst taking Sildenafil Citrate, it may increase certain side effects. In addition, avoid using other medicines to treat impotence, including alprostadil (Caverject, Muse, Edex) or yohimbine (Yocon, Yodoxin, others).
